5 Best Activities for Thrill-Seekers in Switzerland

Switzerland. It's known for breathtaking mountain views, cheese, chocolate, and, of course, bucket-list exploits.

Whether you want to visit now or wait till the weather warms up, we're confident you'll find your excitement here.

We can't speak about the wonderful adventures that await you in Switzerland without mentioning the country's world-famous skiing.

As a result, the first item on our list is...

1. Skiing in the Alps

Switzerland is a skier's and snowboarder's paradise. The most challenging decision you'll have to make is choosing which beautiful ski resort to dedicate your days too.

Luckily we've done the hard part for you. Zermatt while on the much pricier side is well worth your time. There are 54 different lifts on this Matterhorn Mountain, which makes it a luxurious reality.

Zermatt is the highest point to ski in the country, and with that comes fantastic snow conditions. We also enjoy how the mountain offers run for every level of skier, from beginner to expert.

So whether you want to have fun with the family or try something new, there’s something for everyone. You will have the most difficult runs during your adventure.

Did we mention that you’ll have plenty of snowy activities to fulfill all your winter fairytale fantasies? Our West Village hotel location puts you in the center of SoHo, the East Village, and Little Italy.

You’ll have an abundance of restaurants, theaters, art galleries, shops, and bars to explore.

2. Mount Titlis Cliff Walk

This 100-meter suspension bridge, built between two cliffs, is not for the faint of heart. What's the best part? To get to the cliff walk, take the Titlis Rotair, a revolving gondola that provides 360-degree views of the surrounding surroundings. Take that as a preview of what's to come at the top.

You'll make your way to the glacier cave through the underground tube once you've reached the summit in Engelberg.

As you approach the first viewing point and take a time to take in the spectacular view of the mountainous abyss below you, be prepared to be blown away. Some even claim that these are Switzerland's best views. We'd have to agree on something.

Interlaken comes to mind when we think of adventure-induced adrenaline in Switzerland, presumably since it is also known as the country's "adventure capital." The possibilities for stunning views and once-in-a-lifetime adventures are boundless, from white water rafting to bungee leaping and paragliding.

Let's begin with...

3. Paragliding in Interlaken

One of the best things about paragliding in Interlaken (apart from the fact that it is located between two beautiful lakes) is that you may try it out whenever you like.

Whether you want to see snow-covered Interlaken from above or wait until summer to see Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, you'll enjoy your time in the air.

We believe that paragliding is the ideal activity for individuals who want an adrenaline rush but aren't quite ready to commit to bungee jumping (which we completely understand).

We'd ask you to take photos, but photos and the sensation of your feet soaring above the mountains can't compare to this. You'll simply have to take our word for it and try it for yourself. Thank you very much.

4. White Water Rafting in Interlaken

This exciting pastime is one of our favorites because it is something that anybody can enjoy. You may bring the whole family along while still getting that thrill and adrenaline we're all looking for.

Have we mentioned how stunning the turquoise blue waters are, especially when paired with the panoramic mountain views? While navigating class III-IV rapids on the Lütschine River, you'll feel elated. So grab on tight and, of course, expect to get wet.

To us, this sounds like a fantastic trip.

5. Mountain Biking

While this may appear to be a less difficult challenge for thrill-seekers, we guarantee that some of Switzerland's mountain tracks will swiftly disprove you.

Exploring the Valais Alps by bike will give you a front-row seat to some of the country's most magnificent alpine biking terrains, which can be challenging.

For example, the journey that ends in the Vaud Riveria can take many days to complete. Along the route, you'll see the castles of Sion, which, in our opinion, are worth the effort.

So which adventurous activity in this memorizing country is next on your list? Keep us posted!
